Privacy Policy – Medellín Blues
Last updated: March 2, 2026

Medellín Blues (medellinblues.pocketcomputer.net) is a personal/creator space hosted on Pocketcomputer.net — a privacy-first publishing platform built to collect almost no user data.

We collect as little as possible while still running a functional site.

What information we collect

We collect almost nothing by default.

  • No accounts or logins are required to read public content
  • No email addresses unless you voluntarily provide one (for example, optional newsletter signup or paid access)
  • No real names, phone numbers, addresses, or full payment details are stored or handled by this site

If the site has paid/subscriber content:
Payments and subscriber identity are managed entirely by third-party services (e.g. Stripe, crypto wallets, or Pocketcomputer.net’s own shop system).
We only receive a minimal, pseudonymous identifier to grant access — never your full payment information.

Server access logs
Like nearly every website, the server temporarily records:

  • IP address
  • Timestamp
  • Requested URL/path
  • Browser User-Agent string
  • HTTP status code

These logs are used only for security, debugging, and preventing abuse.
They are automatically deleted after 7–30 days (depending on server settings), are not tied to any permanent user profile, and are never shared with marketing or advertising companies.

Cookies & Tracking

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or social media pixels.

No Google Analytics, no Meta/Facebook pixel, no TikTok, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit trackers, no Hotjar, Mixpanel, etc.

Any cookies present are strictly limited to:

  • Necessary session/access tokens (only for paid content gating)
  • Optional preference cookies (dark mode, language, font size — if those features exist)

You can block or delete these in your browser anytime without breaking the site.

Third-party services

The site may sometimes embed or link to:

  • Static images/videos on privacy-respecting CDNs or IPFS
  • X/Twitter posts, YouTube/Vimeo videos, SoundCloud players (only when relevant)
  • Open-source comment systems (if enabled, e.g. Remark42, Isso, or similar self-hosted tools)

These external services may set their own cookies and trackers. We have no control over them. We recommend using extensions like uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, or ClearURLs to block unwanted third-party requests.

How we use the (very little) data we have

  • Server logs → temporary security & debugging only
  • Email address (if you subscribed) → sending new post notifications or rare important updates (never sold or shared)
  • Pseudonymous subscriber ID → granting or revoking access to protected content

That’s all.

Data sharing & selling

We do not sell, rent, or share any personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising — because we barely collect any.

We may disclose minimal log data only if legally required by a valid court order under applicable Colombian, Mexican, or international law.

Your rights

Since we collect so little, most data rights (access, deletion, portability) are already effectively satisfied — there is usually no identifiable profile tied to you.

If you ever gave us an email address and want it removed, just reply to any message we sent or contact us at the address below. We will remove it within 48 hours.

Changes to this policy

This site runs on a very minimal stack, so this policy should stay mostly unchanged. If anything significant ever changes (very unlikely), we will update the date at the top and post a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days.

Contact

For privacy questions:
Email: (insert your real contact email here, e.g. hello@medellinblues.pocketcomputer.net)
or reach out via X, Signal, Session, or whatever contact method you prefer.

We reply quickly to privacy-related messages.

Thank you for supporting independent, low-surveillance publishing.
